The aim of this course is for students to develop a greater understanding of the impacts of rape culture on different populations and to foster confidence in challenging rape culture. These goals will be achieved by utilizing a feminist lens while learning about the systemic perpetuation of rape culture and creating interventions aimed at empowering clients while deconstructing rape culture in a therapeutic setting. The course will provide opportunities to learn through lectures, readings, role plays, and activities.
