CFTD 746 - AAMFT Approved Supervision of Supervision I

This series of three one-credit courses is for CFT doctoral students and supervisor candidates and can only be taken with special approval by the Clinical Training Director. Students must register for all three credits in consecutive semesters - fall, spring, and summer. Supervisor candidates will provide direct supervision to masters level clinicians under the supervision and mentorship of an AAMFT Approved Supervisor throughout the semester. Supervisor candidates will review and discuss supervision cases and continue developing their own personal model of supervision. A strong emphasis is placed on self-of-the supervisor/therapist, integration of dimensions of culture with a social justice lens, and application of and revision of the student’s personal model of supervision.

Prerequisites: Student must complete CFTD-745 prior to registering for this course.
