MASH 636 - Biological Bases of Behavior in Sport & Human Performance

The course objectives are to make the student aware of pertinent gross and microscopic human neuroanatomy, to build a foundational understanding of neurophysiology and the biology of the nerve, and to become familiar with a variety of clinical, sport, and health issues as they relate to neurophysiology. The emphasis throughout the class will be on developing a working familiarity with the functional neuroanatomy of the human brain. The role of environmental and ecological factors on biological functioning will be discussed to promote socially responsible professional practice. Emphasis will be placed on sport and health settings.

Prerequisites: MASH 539 .
