MCFT 870 - International Immersion and Cross-Cultural Studies

This course will provide master’s and doctoral students with a cultural-immersion experience outside of the United States. Students will be engaged in a nonclinical service-learning program for a limited period of time. The course will teach students to examine and critically think about the impact of systemic and structural barriers on health and well-being issues abroad. This will enhance students’ professional values and their preparation for multicultural clinical practice. This course has additional costs including travel, room and board, and spending money.

Note: The CFT Department’s goal is to offer MCFT-870, the Study Abroad opportunity, on an annual basis. Professor, location of travel, additional out-of-pocket costs, and the semester it is offered may vary each academic year.
