This course will provide an introduction to leadership and management practices; both at a scholarly and a practical level. At a scholarly level, it will focus on issues such as authenticity, ethics, power dynamics and leading in crisis. At a practical level, the course will unpack leadership within the context of government, the public service, the non-profit sector and within the Aboriginal community. By combining both scholarly and practical knowledge, this course will guide students through the identification of their own leadership style and an analysis of how it shapes their approach towards a variety of organizational leadership and management functions.
