PSY 724 - Biological Bases of Behavior 3 The course objectives are to make the student aware of pertinent gross and microscopic human neuroanatomy, to build a foundational understanding of neurophysiology and the biology of the nerve, and to become familiar with a variety of clinical issues as they relate to neurophysiology. The emphasis throughout the class will be on developing a working familiarity with the functional neuroanatomy of the human brain. The biological consequences of trauma will also be reviewed. The role of environmental and ecological factors on biological functioning will be discussed to promote socially responsible professional practice.
