PSY 738 - Quantitative Research Methods In Clinical Psychology 3 This course introduces various approaches to research design, methodology, and data analysis. Doctoral students’ clinical interests are integrated with information about a variety of research approaches, including theoretical and quantitative designs. Students are expected to conduct an extensive, guided review of professional psychological literature and research from the field and prepare a major research paper in an area of interest. The applicability of skills and approaches taught in this course to the subsequent preparation of the dissertation is emphasized, as is the use of American Psychological Association (APA) standards for the preparation of manuscripts. The import of ethical, socially responsible, and diversity issues in research is also addressed.
Prerequisites: PSY 737 .
