PSY 851 - Doctoral Practicum Seminar V

Taken concurrently with the therapy practicum, this seminar provides students with an opportunity to review clinical cases integrating theory, practice, and research and discuss professional development and the supervision experience. Specific cases students are working on in their therapy practicum are discussed to illustrate general principles of therapy and intervention. The focus is on the development of knowledge, skills and attitudes, and values needed to provide competent and ethical clinical services. A variety of topics and clinical experiences are offered through class discussion, case presentation, role-playing, and structured exercises.

Prerequisites: PSY 750 - PSY 752, PSY 760 - PSY 762; concurrent with PSY 860 - PSY 862.
