COUN 640 - Counseling and Human Sexuality 3 This course is a study of the foundational components in understanding human sexuality and assisting individuals and couples with sexual concerns. It is designed to provide information in the following areas: research and history about sexuality studies, sexual development, sexuality and gender expression, and social and emotional dynamics of sexuality. Clinical applications will also be addressed, including the treatment of sexual disorders and sexual trauma/abuse, sexual behavior patterns, reproductive issues, and sexually transmitted infections.
