CSAC 889 - Bio-Psycho-Social-Spiritual Aspects of Addictions 3 Biological, neurological, and cognitive neuroscientific aspects of addictions are covered in the context of social, interpersonal, sociocultural, family, community, economic, and environmental dynamics. The psychological aspects of addictions are also addressed in relation to the aforementioned contexts as well as psycho-spiritual and spiritual perspectives. Clinical research on all of the above topics is addressed with the intent of outlining effective treatment modalities that take all of these myriad domains into account. In addition, marginalized populations, such as people of color, LGBTQ groups, people with disabilities, economically depressed persons, veterans, HIV-positive clients, immigrants, women, and adolescents, are studied in the context of addictions.
