Treatment interventions will be explored including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and other traditional as well as nontraditional intervention models to address psychological distress related to military service, pre-deployment, deployment, combat deployment in the theater of war, return to duty, and reintegration into society. Students will also learn about ethical practices in the delivery of psychotherapy in military settings, in the Veterans Affairs healthcare system, and as private practitioners working with actively serving and veteran populations and their families. Note: Satisfies program requirement as a required regular intervention elective.
